Febuary 19, 2023

President Cooper called the meeting to order.

The minutes from the January meeting were read. Rick Goss motioned for them to be accepted. After a second from Travis Samples the motion passed.

Roll Call of Officers

Officers Reports

We discussed:

- Training classes in February

- The annex and the changes that may be coming

- Tri-State

- A new building

- Building committee was formed: Tony Jackson, Django, and Gereldine

- Members Facebook page

- A Trustee Committee was announced: Rick Kaydus (Chairperson), Datra Robinson, Rhonda Jones and Laura Goss.

Brendan Harris made a motion to send the newly named Trustee Committee and up to 3 Executive Board members to the Secretary and Treasurer Training in New Orleans April 11-13. The union to pay travel and per diem. Travel days will be the 10 and 14. After a second from Travis Samples the motion passed.

Rick Goss made a motion to pay for all training expenses on February 10- February 12. After a second from Django Daponte the motion passed.

Jeremy made a motion to purchase aprons for our members. After discussion. We will purchase 30 men’s aprons and 10 women’s aprons. After a second from Laura Austin the motion passed.

Rick Goss made a motion for our local to adopt the Travel and Expense Policy. After a second from Django Daponte and much discussion the motion was tabled.

Jeremy Hughes made a motion to have a drop-in/get together. The union to pay all expenses for the members. After a second from Travis Samples and much discussion the motion was tabled.

Travis Samples made a motion to purchase 2 new computers for the union office, a shredder and update the existing laptops. After a second from Rick Goss and a friendly amendment from Miriam Pinson to add a maximum of $3,000 to be spent the motion passed.

Travis Samples made a motion to have the drawings and adjourn. After a second form Rhonda Chastain the motion passed. The winners were $50- Terry Bacheler, $35- Jeremy Hughes, $15-Amber Mendanhall.

The Winner of the $125.00 jackpot was Daris Polston. He was not in attendance another number was drawn. The winner was Darlene Keeler. She was not in attendance jackpot goes to $150.00 for the March 19, 2023 meeting.
